happy new year, friends.

After all of my deep thinking, it’s time to relax a bit and be thankful for the little things in my life.

Right now I am at home, cozy and warm in my fuzzy new slippers, Baby is peacefully napping next to me in her swing and Hubby is watching a ball game in the family room.  In a little over an hour, I get to go off by myself and get a much needed and very deserved mani/pedi. And while I fret about finances from time to time, things are certainly not as bad as they could be.  Just being able to  stay home and take care of Baby is a blessing.

And while I long for adult interaction at times during the day, I am so glad to have friends all over who I can chat with and share life with, most especially:  Sally, Gypsy, Wendy, Terry, October, Lisa, Jacarandabush, Jen, Jody, Amy, Christine and Erika.  So, thank you, ladies.  Big hugs to you all for making my world amazing.

Life is indeed good.   I hope all of you have a wonderful start to your new year.

And I LOVE new fuzzy slippers. I bought the same kind I had last year and it was like walking on a cloud.

But within two months they’re already flattened and I accidentally burned a hole in one (d’oh!)

So my dream is to buy a new pair every month.
